Cool.  Would've been neater if they used four-wheel trucks a la Top Gear UK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear:_Polar_Special).

An article published in Nunavut News/North earlier this month (almost immediately moved behind a paywall, so I can't provide a link) reported the Russians kept their vehicles in Resolute Bay NU for the summer, then returned to Russia via Cambridge Bay NU in winter 2014.

This newer article also underscored that Canadian officials knew about and approved the plan in advance, and Resolute Bay residents were given a head's up so they could greet the Russians and gawk at their vehicles.
