Title: Indirect NHS High Priority Corridors
Post by: NE2 on June 13, 2013, 03:10:49 PM
*2 (Avenue of the Saints Corridor): 63-52 from Waterloo to St. Paul saves about 30 mi (20 mi to Minneapolis)
*3 (East-West Transamerica Corridor): 81-58A-23-119-15 from Roanoke to Hazard saves about 75 mi (may be a little better if they build all the new highway)
*5 (I-73/74 North-South Corridor):
**26-77 from Charleston SC to Mount Airy saves about 50 mi
**52-1 from Charleston SC to Rockingham saves about 20 mi (but the point is really to serve Myrtle Beach)
**73 is about 60 mi shorter than 74 from Myrtle Beach to Rockingham
**74 is about 40 mi shorter than 73 from Asheboro to Bluefield (50 mi if going up 77 to Charleston WV)
**77-33 or 77-64-35-23 from Bluefield to Columbus saves about 35 mi (again, the new highway may improve this)
*14 (Heartland Expressway): 76-113-385 from Brush to north of Bridgeport saves about 15 mi
*18 (I-69): I think we've covered this enough.
*23: 81 from Norfolk to Watertown saves about 45 mi
*26 (CANAMEX Corridor): 17-89-28 from Flagstaff to Nephi saves about 65 mi
*32 (Wisconsin Development Corridor): 26 from Waupun to Oshkosh saves about 10 mi
*37 (I-49): 10 saves about 20 mi
*50: 104-15 from St. Albans to west of Danville saves about 25 mi
*68: 80-50A-50-95 from Reno to Schurz saves about 15 mi
