CBS San Francisco: Korean Passenger Plane Crashes At SFO; 2 Dead, 61 Injured (http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2013/07/06/plane-crash-at-sfo/)
QuoteAn Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 crashed and burned upon arrival at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday, killing two people and injuring 61 others.
QuoteThe deadly crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday on runway 28 behind Terminal 2 — the international terminal, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
You know what amazes me is the fact the left (port) engine is missing. The starboard one came off, but landed next to the fuselage where you can see that it erupted by the burn hole in the side of the plane next to it.
The tail and vertical stablelizer are both at the start of the runway nearly intact, but no evidence of the second engine even along the trail of debris.
