Title: I-35 construction through Temple, Texas completed!
Post by: longhorn on July 15, 2019, 02:37:40 PM
Except for some construction barrels and work on the Adams and Central intersection, the project is pretty much completed and striped in its final configuration. Just in time for the busy summer season.  Just like in New Braunsfels, I-35 is four lanes wide in each direction for about four miles before going back to three.

Ironic, Temple probably has as much eight lane I-35 freeway as Austin (between the split and 183). How sad.

Will take awhile before Google Maps street view catches up.

Google Maps and Google Earth have both been taking a while trying to get caught up at updating imagery of recently completed freeway projects. They finally have new imagery of the completed I-95/I-295/I-276 interchange North of Philadelphia. They still don't have the I-81/I-86 interchange in Binghampton updated, but there is street view imagery of it from last Summer. In my neck of the woods they're finally showing the new toll plaza on I-44 between Lawton and Chickasha.

Even Streetview got a more recent view of the service road from July 2018. https://goo.gl/maps/3RyCXmjamQ8Y9LSQA
