The first one doesn't make sense. How can you live below and above sea level?

But, anyway, I think Ellensburg is about at sea level.

According to the engineering drawing for my street, the road centreline in front of my house is 314.3 m (1031 ft) elevation.

Funny enough, I was thinking about this on my Utah ski trip. The engineering plans out there (being in ft) would reach the 10 000's if your project was in the mountains (ex: a ski lift construction). Meanwhile all my projects are in the low 300's metres.

My home town is at 1,371 feet ASL, but I regularly drive down to an elevation of 633 feet just 8  miles away as the crow flies. Only sometimes do I notice my ears popping on the way home, but when I do, it's usually in the same location.

191' at chest level for me

Per my GPS app, I'm at a nice 130 feet above sea level.

I'm originally from a place where any four-digit elevation in feet starting with a 4 was considered "low", so this is all still a bit foreign to me...

Based on topo maps and my guesstimate since development, I am sitting at between 695 and 700 feet ASL.

My grandparents' house was at exactly 1,000 feet, which I learned sadly long after they had passed.

Mason City, IA is listed at 1,129 feet above sea level. It probably shouldn't be a surprise because Pilot Knob, about 20 miles away, is the third highest point in Iowa.

Just under 6500' ASL.  The natural rim of Lake Tahoe is 6223'.  Unfortunately I don't have any view due to surrounding buildings and trees, but there are people within a couple hundred yards with fantastic lake and mountain views (they had to pay for that when they bought their properties though; a view was way out of my price range).

Pretty sure I’m in the ballpark of 50 to 100 feet depending on what part of my town you’re in. I don’t know the exact number.

Edit: it’s 75 feet.

I used to be able to put my iPhone on the floor of my living room, and say "Siri, how high am I?"  The answer would be just a number, between 285 and 310 feet (I think the correct answer is 294). After awhile, the answer would be "it appears your elevation is"  some number of feet. Now, the reply is "I" m not sure I understand."

GPS is much less accurate at vertical measurements than horizontal.

My elevation is "unfortunately" in meters :sombrero:. I live about 460 m above sea level. That would make it about 1500'.

I also find the cutoffs weird due to the usage of different units:
- below 30 meters
- 30-76
- 76-152
- 152-229
- 229-305
- 305-762
- 762-1524
- 1524-3048
- over 3048
