Trinity tollroad in Dallas delayed by Levee Evaluations
« on: June 08, 2009, 04:40:00 PM »

The start of construction on this road is being delayed to make sure the levees can withstand an 800 year flood event.

See http://www.tollroadsnews.com/node/4196 for details.

That road has been proposed since 1930. It's a bit of a running joke here. I have a bet with a friend that I will give him $100 when that road opens to traffic. Kicker: We made the bet in 1993.
