Via Tollroadnews,

Feds propose mandating "interoperability of electronic toll collection devices for all toll facilities..."

This is a bill introduced into the House of Representatives that would require all toll facilities "on the National Highway Systems" to have compatible transponders.

This has been a pet peeve of mine of electronic transponders for toll facilities ever since I first hear of them.

But,

1) Does this bill have a chance to pass?

2) If it does pass, will it really do any good at achieving this goal?

Let's hope so. But there is not definition for interoperability.
