Virginia to Vancouver
« on: June 30, 2014, 01:45:18 PM »

So my western trip this summer has been changed to eliminate taking a train most of the way out west and Yellowstone is out.  So I am now going to be driving to Vancouver BC all the way from Virginia.  i know the route I want to take.  Does anyone know of anything along these routes that would seriously hold me up...?

Thanks-
Mapmikey

Potential slowdown spots:

- I-35 in Owatonna is single-lane for reconstruction.
- I-494 reconstruction/widening between MN 55 and I-94/694 should begin soon. I don't think there's a lot involved this year (next year and 2016 are the "big" years), but if there's an issue, US 169 is an alternative.
- I-94 reconstruction between MN 101 and MN 241.
- I-94 reconstruction in Monticello.
