Good local beers for roadgeeks
« on: January 16, 2020, 12:51:37 PM »

A new local brewery called Barrel 41 Brewing, located in Neenah, WI, opened up a little over a year ago and their stuff is pretty good.  http://barrel41.com

Tioga Sequoia has the 99 Golden Ale which is a reference to CA 99 and the Golden State Freeway.  Personally I would have used US 99 over the CA 99 shield which appears on the can:

There's a brewery 4 miles from my house called 3 Floyd's whose beer has become quite popular in the Midwest.

It's not a beer, but it is available at a bar I occasionally visit: Route 11 Chips.

7 Devils Brewery in Coos Bay is our one locally produced beer.  Yelp reviews are so-so.  Best not to drink and drive in any case.  The 7 Devil name comes from a local road between Bandon and Charleston.

US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willets CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.

Somewhere I have a picture of a can of an IPA from Pennsylvania that has a Pennsylvania state route shield as part of the name. I do not remember the brewery nor the name of the beer, though. Route 113, maybe? I’ll edit this if I figure it out.

Edited: Sly Fox Brewing Company.
