I saw the below on a couple of memes a day or two ago.

Question: Do you have a date for Valentine's Day?

Answer: Yes, February 14th.

That's almost as bad as:

When is your birthday?
April 12
What year?
Every year

A few years ago, my mom asked what day Christmas would be that year. She didn’t seem to appreciate my answer of “probably December 25.”

(Yes, I know the difference between “what day” and “what date.” I just felt like being a smartarse.)

Well she could have specified "day of the week," lots of people use "day" and "date" interchangeably.  That's the whole joke behind the stupid question "what day do we celebrate the 4th of July?" (meant to be similar to "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb?")

That's simple, they are asking what year you were born.

Dude I was only referring to the joke(s) that went over your head, just as the quote did.
