A very close call for the toll booth operator. Good thing that protective concrete structure and support beam was constructed.

Having recently driven through that toll plaza (in both directions), it seemed to me that it is well marked, and it is pretty visible to approaching traffic.

Wonder if the driver of the pickup was tested for having alcohol or other drugs in his system?

It seems that the driver just "blacked out." No indication on the news if the driver was tested for drugs and alcohol.

Maybe he thought he could go through it like that and not have to pay the $2, not knowing it would crash?
