Some Maine Turnpike Motorists Overcharged

It had to do with a sensor miscounting the number of axles for some EZ-Pass vehicles at Exit 25 (ME Route 35) in Kennebunk.

Interesting that there's apparently nothing in the system to validate the axle count against the license plate of the vehicle the transponder is registered to.

it's a good idea.  (assuming the engineering works of course!)  if I were of criminal bent, I'd register an EZ-pass for the cheapest classification (motorcycle?) and slap it on my 62-wheeled road train.
