There's a LOT of WTF moments going on with this area, when you scan up and down the roads:

In addition:

Stop signs with "4-Way" written on the top part of the stop sign, rather than a separate plate.

A "Do not stop on tracks" near the stop sign after the railroad crossing.

Sidewalk curb cut tactile bumps where there's no curb cut (it's just before the pedestrian RR crossing arms), and then no tactile bumps where are there are curb cuts.

Seriously.  The treatment that pisses me off the most is the decorative art on the back of the Stop signs outside the Police station and the fact that that decorative housing causes the shape of the octagon to be lost in the visual clutter.

Here's some more interesting stuff in that area:

Old-style decorative signals on Park Ave:

The poles look NYC style.

Former strip club bldg. that looks like titties:

That's because the poles are guy-wire mast arms, which NYC uses a ton of. Also, the signals are Teeco 4-ways with Eagle 4-way tops mounted on them and they also have some wait-walk peds there:

The best part is, is that the peds appear to be LED too!
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.
