Several new interchanges (Ranchero Rd, Nisqualli Rd) have opened along I-15 in recent years. Another one that is in the city of Victorville's plans is Smoke Tree Road and Mojave Street. But the interchange may still be years away and affected by the construction of the High Desert Corridor, should that project come to pass.

An interchange on Interstate 15 between Main Street and Bear Valley Road is likely the next freeway crossing on Victorville's docket, although it remains far off and could be leapfrogged by High Desert Corridor interests, city officials say.

Since at least 2003, a decade before the Nisqualli Interchange broke ground, an interchange at I-15 and Smoke Tree Road (Mojave Street on Hesperia's side) has been in Victorville's circulation plan, City Engineer Brian Gengler said Wednesday.
