We discussed this on Facebook a few weeks ago, but I thought it would be fun to bring to the wider audience here. What are your thoughts on the downward arrow, and this assembly in general?

That's silly - if you were coming from this road, why would you need to know that River Road is the road you're on? I guess because it heads left instead it's trying to say that if you turn right, you're on a different road instead.

Yeah, I don't really think that double-headed arrow is necessary.

Sorta OT: I'm of the opinion that the guides/shields should be posted at a different point from the stop sign... I feel the guide assembly could distract from the stop message. (It's not just this...any instance of similar signs posted at the same point evokes the same reaction.)

Ultimately pointless, if you were already on said road, you'd already know what it was. And besides, you're at the end of it. Who really cares what road you were just on. And unlike other instances of this, this one actually is printing onto a full green sign, rather than stand-alone markers where the arrows could be mounted incorrectly. Quite silly this is.

:) Needs more... :sombrero: Not quite... :bigass: Perfect.

If the name of the road you're on continues left or right at an approaching T-intersection, I could see having the left or right elbow arrow for it, but not a 2-arrowed symbol.

Here is another one, but this is supposed to mean left and ahead, so it's incorrect. The sign facing the other way has just a down arrow. Also, look right, and there's a weird custom LEFT TURNB YIELD sign.
