Has anyone followed the story of what has happened in relation to the ET-Plus End Treatment?  I have noticed that on MTO's 407 East Extension project, Trinity Soft-Stop style end treatments have been used at the end of some steel beam guiderails, which is a first for Ontario.

A quick google search seems to show that Trinity was found guilty of changing the design of the ET-Plus, but then a subsequent study conducted in conjunction with both FHWA and AASHTO has shown that there are not two different styles of guiderail across the US so Trinity is seeking to have a new trial.  Anyone know any other additional details?
