Remaining instances of "SLO"

Just noticed this in Arlington, Mass.:



"SLO" always seemed an odd contraction to me, because you're only saving one letter, even if it is a wide one.

Still, it used to be common.  This is the first I've seen it in years.  Is it still hanging on anywhere else?
