Erroneous Pennsylvania Route 222 shield

I was driving on U.S. Route 222 today from Conowingo, Maryland up to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In Quarryville, Pennsylvania, where U.S. 222 joins up with PA-372, I caught a PA-222 shield that should be a U.S. 222 shield. I've seen other examples of this in Pennsylvania in the highway guides, such as PA-1 and PA-13 shields north of Philadelphia that are supposed to be U.S. 1 and U.S. 13.

For those who don't know, there actually is a PA-222 that picks up where U.S. 222 leaves off in Allentown. Also, MD Route 222 starts in Conowingo at U.S. 222's southern terminus; that route used to be a continuation of U.S. 222 to Perryville.

By the way, if there's already a "mistake shield" thread here, would the moderators please move this post here. Thank you.

Allentown has a few error US 222 shields(on Cedar Crest Blvd and I remember one on PA 145 SB downtown), being from VA I just expect it.

And yes we have an Erroneous Road Sign thread at 160 pages.
