A friend found this in the metro Atlanta area. Not sure what it's telling us.

I think it means "don't use the center lane" (it's being used by the other direction). I have seen it with a red X instead of the word "no". In this case, going straight from the left turn lane likely leads into the center lane, which should never happen.

Exactly that.

I think this is on US 41/Northside Dr in northwest Atlanta, but can't pinpoint it exactly. I seem to recall the center lane being reversible, but I haven't been up that way in several years and a check of Street View doesn't seem to show that to be the case. Maybe some of these signs are echoes of that era. Other places along that road seem to use the red X instead.

Yeah I agree, it's most likely to tell people in the center lane not to continue straight ahead.  It's still funny to see though, thank you for posting this!!  :spin:
