Earlier this month I took Bitterwater Road and Bitterwater Valley Road over the Temblor Range to CA 46/CA 33 at Blackwell's Corner.  Both Bitterwater Road and Bitterwater Valley Road are rural highways that interact with the San Andreas Fault within the remote outskirts on the San Luis Obispo County/Kern County Line.
