Why is US 34 east of Wray not on street view?

I don't want to overlook this statement.  I haven't found another example.  Does anyone know if there's another US Route without GSV coverage still?

Similar area, but US6 from the Colorado/Nebraska line to Imperial, NE.
Wow, yeah. It seems like street view is very sloppy in this area even compared to other rural areas. I mean for pete's sake, they have the entire Dalton Highway!

More to see on the Dalton than in that part of Eastern Colorado and Southern Nebraska, to be fair.
I mean they have all of US 2, US 12, and other US highways that go through boring parts of the Dakotas.

Yeah. I dunno why they don't have them. I'm just saying that, having driven them, no one is missing much.
Only loss is that when I'm doing my roadgeek joyrides on GSV that like a single digit number of people like to do I can't take some routes. As a completianist, I don't like to skip any sections of roads I scroll on.

No, actually more people joyride GSV. Just most people would probably be fine skipping a short stretch of road that's skipped on street view to get to more interesting stuff, but I must go on every inch of pavement on the route even if it means detouring.

See, I've found the following to be truer:

-  Driving an actual road is a far different experience versus viewing it in GSV.  The wide-angle cameras used by Google does not lend well to actual perspective.  You can't replicate the actual feel viewing images on a computer.
-  The lack of GSV images often means there is something worthwhile hiding from the prying eyes of the internet.

Wonder if there is market for VR Google Street view. For me though, the biggest problem which sets street view apart from real roads is seeing all the other cars stationary as you go along. Just uncanny.

Meh, tech people have been promising VR will somehow match actual experiences my entire life.

Ask yourself this, do you consider finishing a roadway or numbered highway as having "clinched it?"

Oh absolutely not. I scroll GSV as a time waster activity to do to pass the time engaging in something I enjoy.

Of all the places on the US highway system, the fact that this is the area that doesn't have GSV coverage isn't very surprising to me.

I wonder if anyone uses TravelMapping to record their GSV clinches.

Odds are there is at least one if not several people.

It is surprising to me actually. It's the ONLY road worth GSVing in the area, and obviously they did most of it. I wonder if there was some data corruption or something which led to the gaps and they just didn't feel it was important enough to go back to.
