On the northbound Sprain Brook Parkway in New York, the interchange for I-287 has a right exit for 287 east, and then a left exit for 287 west. The 1 mile advance sign just says "287/White Plains/Mario Cuomo Br/exit 3/4 mile." https://www.google.com/maps/@41.0410095,-73.8154309,3a,75y,354.52h,90.65t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sOZHJ-wXpPb1KD8IWecR4BQ!2e0!5s20190501T000000!7i16384!8i8192

What would be the proper way to indicate a left and right exit at the same interchange? How would you do it if NYSDOT adds mile markers to the Sprain, two exit tabs on the same sign?
Not every speed limit in NY needs to be 30

VDOT did something similar to that using a massive APL sign in Springfield. Exit 1A is not a standard "exit" here in that it represents the thru movement from southbound I-395 continuing on I-95. Exit 1B is on the right side after you pass the split for Exits 1C and 1D, so it's to the left of those two and the exit tab's location denotes that. If you click the second link, you'll see how they deal with that a little further along.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"

Interstate 405 and Washington 518 are essentially the same freeway, changing names at I-5. Southbound I-5 approach.

Worse, on my 2009 Gamin, it keeps telling users, twice, that the exit to I-405 is on the right.  Only at the last second does it tell you that it is on the left.  There are six general purpose lanes here.  I wanted to update the device, but it will only seat onto Windows when the battery is fully charged.

Interstate 75 south heading into downtown Atlanta, at the interchange with a left exit to Interstate 85 north, also has a right exit to 10th, 14th, 16th Street on the same monster sign:

Hate speech is a nonsense concept; the truth is hate speech to those that hate the truth.

People who use their free speech to try to silence others' free speech are dangerous fools.

If you don't do it the way KDOT does, you're a wuss.

^Good god.  That sign looks like it's 22 feet wide and 20 feet high?  Something like that

National collection status: 384/425. Only 41 route markers remain!

It's all demountable copy too. Including the gigantic arrow.

That arrowhead is downright comically large. I'd even call it distracting. I wonder if it's actually proportional to the stem width with the other arrowheads on the sign.

I'm surprised they didn't place control cities on it. Looks like there's plenty of room for it.

You could put "St Louis" on I-70 East, but KDOT doesn't sign I-635 with any control cities, since on the Kansas side it mostly passes through Kansas City, KS (which is also where this sign is).
