Has the new atlas made it to Walmart yet?

No idea.  I just saw it for the first time at Barnes and Noble on Saturday afternoon.

Jim Georges (FreewayJim) has seen it at Walmart in his area. I have yet to see a new one, however.

I picked one up today at the Neenah, WI Walmart*.



I do note that they seem to be very eager to mark very short sections of freeway as such, although they have too much of US 10 between I-39 and Marshfield, WI shown as such (only the eastern half plus in the immediate Marshfield area is in fact a freeway, the rest is a surface expressway).  Also, they have WI 26 mostly correct, except that the short part between Janesville and Monroe is now a freeway and the Monroe bypass freeway is now under construction.

A quick look at other states showed some changes like Illinois 255 being extended to US 67 and US 20 upgrade across Iowa.

They not only show the new US 20 that opened last November, but they show the completed four-lane US 63 between Waterloo and New Hampton that opened last October. The Fort Madison bypass (US 61), which opened in late 2011, also appears for the first time.

The new US 65/IA 330 multiplex north of Altoona does not appear, but that may be because (1) of the lack of space on the map, and (2) the extension wasn't publicized by the DOT at all -- just confirmed by field signage.

But... they still show an IA 38/130 multiplex between US 30 and Tipton. IA 130 ends in Tipton and has never multiplexed with IA 38. And they show old IA 60 through Sibley as IA 404, which no longer exists in Sibley and was never signed to begin with.

I might check Barnes and Noble and see if there are any 2014s there. I probbably won't get a chance to go there until the weekend. If B&N doesn't have it I'll chack Walmart and Booksamillon.
