My wife pointed out a repeating leaf pattern on the median of NB I-880 just north of Auto Mall Parkway in Fremont. Is this common anywhere else? We both think that this is new on this section within the last week or two, roughly coincident with the recent repaving and restriping.

The first one appears to be a stamped pattern in concrete, not actual brick. Note how there's points where there's a vertical joint that goes from top of wall all the way to the pavement. Once you see that, it becomes easier to see the repeating stamp pattern. But props to the road agency here for actually painting each "brick" differently (and not repeating the colors in each stamp of the pattern) to make it look more authentic.

Mr. Matté

There used to be a new rambling message painted on this one until the messages stopped changing and the land was cleaned up a little bit more one day.
