New draft MUTCD

The FHWA has started drafting the new 2020 editon of the MUTCD. The proposed changes and figures are available online.
What's proposed:

• Intersection lane usage
• Bike facility signing and pavement markings
• More ramp warning signs
• Handheld phone usage signs
• Green truck lane signs
• More stuff for old people (wrong way prevention)
• Graphics for previously text-only stuff (Airport loop signage)
• Emergency route signing
• Prohibited cargo routing
• Travel on shoulder 
• Variable speed limit/active lane management
• VMS truck parking signs
• Color VMS signs
• Construction guides for sharded use paths
