Excluding the Four Corners Monument, what route can you see at least 4 states the quickest?

See? Stand on top of a mountain or skyscraper.

This thread got me thinking of a child subject to this.  Excluding the Four Corners Monument, what route can you see at least 4 states the quickest?

4 states:  I've done this several times in less than 45 minutes.  I can get from my home in New Jersey to Elkton, MD in about 45 minutes via 295 to 130 to 322, across the Commodore Barry Bridge into Pennsylvania, then down I-95 thru Delaware into Maryland.

Being that I'm still spending 15 minutes in NJ before I get to the bridge, that stands to reason that one can take a route involving 4 states in about 30 minutes.

US 522 has a <30 mile segment involving 4 states - VA, WV, MD, PA

Similarly, 81 is about 45 minutes from VA/WV border to MD/PA border.

From my location in southern Houston, I was able to get more in 24 hours than I thought I could, at 13 states using dkblake's idea.

Here's the route:
US 59 north to Carthage (Texas)
I-20 east to Shreveport (Louisiana)
I-220 and I-49 north to Texarkana (Arkansas)
I-30 west and US 259 north to southeast corner of OK and back (Oklahoma)
I-30 and I-40 east to Memphis (Tennessee)
I-55 south to Southaven (Mississippi)
I-55 north to Sikeston (Missouri)
US 62 east to Paducah (Illinois and Kentucky)
I-24 and I-69 north to Evansville (Indiana)
I-64 east to Huntington (West Virginia)
US 52 over the Ohio River and back (Ohio)
I-64 and I-77 south to the Appalachians (Virginia)

Total driving time is 22 hr and 36 min, assuming good conditions.

You could save some time by using KY 286 instead of US 62 between Wickliffe and Paducah. And you could keep going on I-77 and get North Carolina; it's certainly not a 90-minute drive from Bluefield to Fancy Gap.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.
