Acton Grade Bridge at the East Fork Chowchilla River

Looks like one of those temporary ramp bridges laid down by tanks.

Here are people who won't drive the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland.

A special ride share drives the bridge for them.

Hatem and Nice bridges as well.
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

I somehow never responded to this thread, but I would go with Burlington-Bristol at this point.  I only drove it to clinch NJ/PA 413.

Microsoft ran another article listing scary bridges, which included the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (wasn't there a separate thread for this subject?);
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/12-us-bridges-that-travelers-are-scared-to-cross-due-to-age/ss-AA1SJzEG?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=69482656bab3487cbbf32c18edc0fcaa&ei=64
But the image chosen for that bridge gave me some false hope that MDOT finally built a replacement for that bridge, and I missed it. Nope. As it turned out, the bridge they showed was the replacement for the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.

That's got to be one of the stoopidest online articles ever. Not only did they get that pic wrong, but the Golden Gate Bridge entry just shows a dupe of the previous Cold Spring Canyon Arch Bridge pic. And they had to resort to a footbridge in Colorado? They couldn't find another bridge you can drive? The only people who go over the Royal Gorge Bridge are those who like walking over bridges like that. No one actually needs to get to the other side.

I've been over eight of the twelve, and never thought any were scary. The text always comes back to saying that such-and-such a bridge causes anxiety with certain people. Well, yeah, some people have acrophobia, and get scared on lots of bridges.

The only bridges that make me nervous are skinny, high bridges that are not suspension bridges, but are perched on high supports. Like the Lewis and Clark Bridge between Rainier OR and Longview WA. But that's not because of its age, it's because it looks like an earthquake could just topple it over on its side. There are a lot of bridges like that.

I did not look all the way through the clickbait, but they're crazy.  I've driven the old and the new S.F.-Oakland Bay Bridges, and there's nothing scary about them.

Holy crap, I skipped over that part. And yes, there are other bridges they could've added, some of which I've driven over. Unfortunately, I've seen dumber online articles on Microsoft's homepage than this.

There's three that have made me nervous to varying degrees:

1) Zilwaukee Bridge (I-75 over Saginaw River, Michigan) - knowing the checkered history of the construction issues this one has had.
2) Ambassador Bridge, Detroit - over 80 years old; there's countless times I've sat in traffic on that bridge waiting to enter Canada and felt the bridge shaking from all the truck traffic.
3) The new Sunshine Skyway, Tampa - knowing the history of the old bridge, plus driving over it the first time with its high retaining walls and the feeling you're just driving into the sky before you crest the peak and head down the other side.

So, perusing the Sunshine Skyway on Streetview, I noticed that on the most recent imagery, there is a crisis phone on the northbound side of the bridge, but not the southbound side. It looks as though the southbound phone was removed.

Is FDOT suggesting that people getting on the bridge from St. Pete are suicidal, and people getting on from Manatee County are always in a good mood?

For me, it's a tie between the old Jamestown Bridge (RI-138) in Rhode Island (1940-1992) or the old Sikorsky Memorial Bridge (1940-2004) on the Merritt/Wilbur across parkways (CT-15) in Connecticut.

With the conditions right now the Zilwaukee Bridge. That whole thing was a sheet of ice 3 hours ago when I crossed it and I was moving at 20 mph. Both bridges are now closed due to the conditions.

Do they not believe in road salt in Michigan?

They don't believe in a lot of things in Michigan, but road salt is very much one that they do.  I was actively showing my wife Michigan salt specials in the parking lot of a farmers market when we were last in Michigan visiting family.  I don't miss having to visit the car wash every week in the winter so my car body panels and frame wouldn't rust out.

Winter tires, studded tires and chains are things Michigan doesn't believe in.
