I'm still not too sure about I-305. It's not signed and (from what I read in another topic) CalTRANS doesn't actually maintain it internally, either. I believe AASHTO recognizes it, though.

The same applies to I-910. It officially exists but is not signed or recognized, and I believe it's due to be wholly engulfed by the future I-49 extension.

I-910 has been approved, but does not exist, as LaDOTD has not followed through.

You missed the unsigned I-444 (OK).

There is no I-191 or I-491.  But there is a I-391.  There are two instances of I-291.

Since you are including proposed 3dis, Future I-22 will have one 3di, proposed I-422.

I guess I never thought of it before, but I-84 on both sides of the conutry only has one even ended 3di.
I-684

and only 2 odd ended 3di.

I-184 and I-384

Any others that come to mind?

or any that use up all the 3dis including odd and even?
I-90 and I-95 come to mind.

Well I-84 did have I-284 and I-484 planned but never built...

Yes sadly, however, I believe if those were built, given the ghost ramps and the left exits/entrances that were planned, it probably would've created more back-ups due to the poor designs of the proposed interchanges.
I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

Part of I-484 was actually built. Take the "Capitol Area" exit off of I-91 (29A). It's horribly substandard, though, and was demoted years ago to an unsigned state highway.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Revive 755

It's been mentioned in some other thread that MoDOT would like to switch the planned routing of I-49 to follow existing MO 249 and avoid multiplexing with I-44.  There's the possibility that this will result in a new 3di for the former section of I-49 along US 71 down to I-44.

I-564 has been proposed for the I-64 to relocated I-70 route around East St. Louis: (27 MB file)

http://www.newriverbridge.org/documents/plans/J6U1086%20plans/AJR/Appendix%20C%20Figures%2001%20to%2020.pdf (See page 21/21)

I would expect to see one of the Kentucky parkways become a 3di after I-69 is officially signed in that state  - I'd bet on the Audobon, being the shortest and probably cheapest to upgrade next.

If one wants get into the speculative, I-57 and western I-88 could get 3di's for the Illinana and Prairie Parkway corridors respectively.

Wasn't I-124 decommissioned a couple of decades ago?

Nope.  Still active, if not signed.

I-4 has no 3dis, but it has a terminus with a 3di, I-275.
I-12 has no 3dis, but somewhat interesting that its eastern terminus is with 2 separate 2dis, I-59 and I-10.
I-49 has no 3dis (may change in future).

EDIT

I-43 has none, as well as I-4, I-8, and I-24.
Sorry, I missed the above I-4 before I posted.

I-12 should be a I-x10

I really wouldn't disagree with that. To tell you the truth, I think a 2di should have to cross between two states to be called an interstate. 4, 17 & 19, among others, would fall under that too.

Indeed, the Audubon is signed as "Future Spur I-69."

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.
