Going to Utah this month.  I've seen pictures of the Moki Dugway & San Rafael Swell and was just wondering which direction is up and down there:

The second pic is looking eastbound towards Green River. Eastbound is downhill there. As for the Moki, northbound is downhill.

Didn't see this in time (we actually left an hour before you posted) but Moki southbound was downhill. We still enjoyed it!

I know how gauche is necroposting, but I have plans to visit Utah this week...and read mapquest to find new roads are numerous in the Salt Lake valley and Utah county (Provo-Orem with most new housing in Lehi and Payson), then you have this "Mountain Corridor" expressway still underway to be completed in the newly built (and still fast growing) city of West Jordan of the Salt Lake city metro area.
Get your kicks...on Route 99! Like to turn 66 upside down. The other historic Main street of America.

Cool...I'll be back in Utah 8/12-8/14 as part of our Colorado trip.  Kids haven't seen Arches NP so even though we went last year, we're heading back, at least to Moab!
