Thanks for catching that, just fixed it! (I wonder if I missed part of the copied URL so it defaulted to AARoads, but I'd never seen that happen before.)

Is this stop sign louvered because of angled intersection so that the other street does not get confused?  I have never seen anything like that before.

Illinois uses a lot of these louvers at acute-angle intersections. Most of them I've seen appear very rusted, or maybe the paint wore off. Here's another view facing the sign:
