Here, we can post pictures of new infrastructure being built. We can also show progress in a certain road construction project.

I will do the Prunedale Improvement Project (PIP) for the first post. The PIP has two main sites, Espinosa/Russell and Crazy Horse Canyon Road. For Espinosa/Russell, they are building this overpass to connect Espinosa and Russell Roads, which used to be separated because of Highway 101:

They are also building this exit (future Sala Road) directly north of the overpass to replace the dangerous left turn drivers use to get from NB 101 to Espinosa, which is a shortcut to Santa Cruz:

The next big site is the Crazy Horse Canyon Road exit. Before, this stretch of road was very dangerous due to the slope, blind curves, and left turns. This exit will solve that. To me, it's amazing how they cut the side of the hill off.

Southbound:

Well, that is all. It's amazing how all this has changed in less than a year. For sure Highway 101 will look very different and be much safer when the PIP is completed in two years.

Now it's your turn to show construction projects in your area...

This flies in the face of those who think California is "completely bankrupt."

KEK Inc.

They're more than bankrupt.  The state is $15b in debt.  Doesn't mean they won't spend money.

Wow.  It's been a year since I've been there.  To be honest, it's going by pretty slowly, but funding is stiff.  I wonder if they'll ever continue with the CA-156 freeway project between Prunedale and Castroville.  I know it was on the table for a while a few years back.
Take the road less traveled.

Well, I've only heard about making 156 a tollway, but otherwise nothing else. Caltrans is also planning interchange improvements to the 101/156 interchange in Prunedale, but no news on that at all.
