Well, not as many, but the first state highway met from the west in Wisconsin by I-90, I-94 and I-535 (as well as by US 61/151 from the southwest and US 2, US 8 and US 18 from the west) is WI 35.

Also, I'm not 100% on the signage status of the new truck bypass in Prairie du Chien, but if US 18 is fully on the bypass, its first route would now likely be WI 27.  Or TRUCK US 18.

Yikes, WisDOT didn't move it to that WI 35 interchange?  (I gotta have some words with the guys in the Eau Claire office....)



As for US 18 at Prairie du Chien, I find it interesting in that Google Maps is showing US 18 being rerouted to that new bypass routing - BUT with WI 27 still ending where it always has at WI 35.

On I-94 westbound the first exit is 5.8 miles

Those are the only two that are more than 5 miles.
