What if we took it before November? Is it okay to come out of the FAA-discouraged-photography-closet?

I still turn off my phone, but that's because its battery barely lasts 12 hours on a single charge, even if left completely unused; 4-6 hours if moderately used for phone and internet.

Tweet it! I'll bet the winning picture will be of Manhattan or something though. I doubt the Delta judges will be as excited about that old school Taco Bell sign as I am! Is it a recent picture?
I'm almost certain the winner will be a picture of the skyline of Atlanta. Or Detroit.

^ I'm told the Salt Lake City skyline and mountains are a lovely sight from the airport, but I've never flown into/out of there. Would like to see it for myself...

Wasn't there a mythbusters that proved that cell phone use doesn't interfere with airplane technology?
Mythbusters concluded that most cell phone use is UNLIKELY to interfere with airplane technology for most planes currently in service.  However, they were able to demonstrate some scenarios where the phone caused marked interference with navigation systems.

And the bottom line remains this:  Permitting cellphone use on an airplane in flight is TOTALLY UNNECESSARY and would create a huge inconvenience for the majority of passengers who don't want to be bothered with hearing the yapping from others.

SLC is my favorite DL hub. Not only are the views spectacular but it's easy to connect and upgrades are easier to come by than they are through ATL. And until a few months ago when DL cheapened up the booze offerings, the SkyClub there had a number of local microbrews on tap. I'll often go out of my way to connect through SLC.
