Favorite non-MUTCD informational signs

Greetings all,

Where are some of your favorite roadside informational signs? I am looking for ones that are not commercial in nature, built on public property, to help drivers find points of interest. For instance, they may point to local government offices or parking facilities. They are typically lit or retroreflective. Here are a few newish ones in Towson, MD.

Nebraska posts signs along I-80 at various locations to describe the historical or tourist-worthy features of a town or region. The signs are posted at the right-of-way line, in my opinion because they are not MUTCD-compliant.

Non-profits are great examples of informational signage with WAY too much informtion.  http://goo.gl/maps/JB9ET  Mixed within that sign salad (of a whole bunch of signs) are two non-profits.  The easiest to see has 3 lines of message that no one in a moving vehicle would be able to read.  Even if they are stopped, it's tough reading it. 

The other green signs are quite applicable though for the topic.

BTW, Helen's Greentree Restaurant: out of business.  Sign is still there though.

Nice snipe sign in there too. That town could really benefit from a unified sign scheme.

Trenton has nice looking ones. I believe the font used on them is Frutiger, but I could be wrong.

There's quite a lot of signs in the first GMSV - maybe I should x-post it to the Sine Salad thread?

I also liked the ones in Somerville as well - except GMSV is dated to 2007 for the entire borough. None of the signs I see today are in the street view, so yeah.

Side bar: I guess nobody got around to revising/replacing the TRENTON WAR MEMORIAL THEATER LGS with the updated (since 2001) PATRIOTS THEATER name.

Interestingly, the 'Lafayette Hotel / Marriott' Logo seen in that sign has been whited out since the city had to sell it in this more updated photo (with worse quality):

The City of Phoenix, AZ Uses similar signs in color and size In the Government and Downtown Cores.

Interesting, these things are in the MUTCD after all.
