Forgive me if it's an old topic, but Shiner has an FM 966 beer out with the highway sign logo

FM966, Farmhouse Ale – Spring seasonal uses Golding, Sterling and Meridian hops for a sweet yet lightly spiced flavor.

On the 6-pack packaging, it talks a little bit about the road in/near Shiner.  If just glancing, most non-road types would think 'huh?' or maybe think it was a made-up name.  Any modern TX map will show them different.

As for what's in the bottle, I haven't tried it yet; I guess I'm still stuck on their more-ubiquitous bock concoction.

there's an IPA 395 made by the Mammoth Brewing Company, just off US-395.  it's quite good; a lot of the gas stations as far south as Independence carry it, and I make a point to pick some up whenever I pass through there.

Also in the collection of beers for the roadgeek: the Stone, Green Flash, and Pizza Port collaboration named for nearby CA 78, which receives an upgrade to US status on the label.

I'm amazed that both of those beers have FHWA fonts for the shield digits, yet some Route 66 merchandise I've seen uses everything  but the FHWA fonts.

Abita had a state highway shield, and there was a notoriously bad one out of PA. Flying Fish is doing the Turnpike series, using exit numbers to describe each brew.

Urban Prairie Schooner

There is an "LA 31" branded beer, produced in Arnaudville (along the very route). It retains the old green state highway shield, presumably because it is more distinctive - I had never seen it sold anywhere prior to the introduction of the monochrome shields.
