Are there any rules of posting a picture of certain aspects of a state DOT signing or highway widening contract plans on Flickr or other photo social media?

I come across certain signing plans and such and find some parts interesting.  Interesting enough I'd like to post a certain sign detail etc.

Thoughts?
I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

Posting extracts shouldn't pose any copyright difficulties since they qualify as fair use.  The main thing is to avoid posting any plans for which there may be some expectation of confidentiality.  Usually this won't apply to plans you download anonymously over the Internet, but it might come into play if you have been given the originals by a contact within the state DOT.  The usual rule of thumb in such cases is to share the information in a way that does not embarrass the source.
