Well this has something to do with South US-101 and Barham Boulevard exit ramp. Effects were not well explained here.

Once Caltrans decided a year ago in the 7 year process to close the Barham interchange, there should have been a reset of the review process.  You don't change the rules of the game in the 4th quarter after all!  Thanks to bureaucratic ballfumbling the taxpayers get hosed again and money that should go into BUILDING STUFF gets put into the pockets of legal beagles and bureaucrats.

US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.

Thanks for sharing this link. I noticed they called Barham a "major 101 Freeway offramp." I wonder what they would call a "minor offramp." 101 is so busy and well used that I'd consider every offramp to be important and major given the densely populated areas they serve. But perhaps there is some exit that is less used than others. I've not reviewed any traffic statistics or the draft environmental document to compare Barham Blvd exit with any other, but it does make me wonder.

They absolutely should not close this ramp, it will seriously affect traffic on Cahuenga Blvd West.
