Traffic Signals: green wave

I guess I didn't take distance into account in my reply. Not being familiar with the Chicago grid system, I wonder how far apart are their streets are. Is there a reasonable cycle length that could achieve the green wave for both bikes and cars at these speeds?

In the case of Chicago where signals are spaced roughly 330 feet apart, the cycle length would need to be 9 seconds long to achieve a double green wave (obviously not practical).  Nine seconds is the amount of time it takes to travel 330 feet @ 25 mph.
