Does anyone know of a decent site that has *real* weather maps, with isobars and using the station model? Been hunting around on the NWS website and not having much luck.

Storm Prediction Center.  I especially like their unanalyzed surface maps.

UCAR's upper air plots, however, are easier to read.

Weather Prediction Center for current maps (http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/#page=ovw) and recent historical maps (http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/dailywxmap/). NOAA library for maps back to 1871 (http://www.lib.noaa.gov/collections/imgdocmaps/daily_weather_maps.html).

Oh, and for a map with current station plots: http://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/html/sfcloop/currobs.html (click on the High Resolution button for an even better map).
