Old illumination light standards

The LED vs. sodium light thread reminded me of this light standard which seems to be originally meant for a fluorescent tube.  It had a smaller point white light when I took this picture in 2006, but probably not LED back then. On Capitol Blvd, Tumwater, Washington.  That and the styling indicates this is not a new installation.
