Appearently they have installed an new BGS in Denton on I-35E that has four street names, two per line. Obviously this is in blatant violation of standards, and was done to give Bucees free advertising.
For Bucees Blvd to appear on the sign, it appears (I am unsure of this) that they may have made the entrance to Bucees a city street, when it should have been a private drive.

The Clearview and the naming a road after a convenience store are a collective abomination that knows no bounds.

That style of Clearview is standard in Texas... they also are very consistent with using it.

As for the road name, Buc-ee's made a smart move choosing that location and being across from a future interchange. They constructed an entrance driveway, and likely there was a backdoor deal with the city to name it that way. I agree though, should be a driveway entrance and nothing more.

Other than the Buc-ee's Blvd, it's great that FM 2499 was finally extended all the way to State School Rd to have an exit on 35. Now it's much easier access to the other Lake Lewisville bridge the back way to Highland Village and Flower Mound.

The bad thing is that they did not increase the capacity to the intersection with I-35E, which was severely congested before FM 2499 was connected to it. They did, however just announce, that they would be reconstructing it. This is just after spending the money to widen the existing bridges, and doing the useless modifications hat are underway now.

And they still haven't put FM 2499 on the overheads that were installed when I-35E was widened.
