Locally maintained toll roads

Though its existence was brief, the Camino Colombia Toll Road was privately held before it underwent foreclosure three years after opening, was auctioned off from the courthouse steps, and was then sold by its creditor/owner to TxDOT four months after that.  All told, from opening until acquisition by TxDOT, it was operated privately for a total of 3½ years.  It now exists toll-free as TX-255.
