Calhoun Street Bridge (trenton NJ) Re-Opens

The 125 year old bridge re-opened on October 12th 2010 after a long renovation. For four months the bridge was 100% closed to assist in lowering the costs and allowing it to happen at a faster pace.

Glad to see NJ restoring these old style truss bridges, instead of closing them. Still is a scary bridge to drive over due to the narrow lanes. When i return home after Halloween i plan to grab some photos of this span before the weather turns bad.

Watch out for bridge watcher on the Pennsy end of that bridge. He chased me away from there 10 years back.

The Calhoun Street Bridge was built in 1884 for non-motor vehicles, expect that as the reason for being narrow

I haven't gotten down to look at it yet, but I saw the restoration articles, they did a hell of a job. It only takes 3 tons and has a speed limit of 15 mph, but that's fine with me

The bridge looks awesome, nice brighter green than i remember it being, looks brand new.
