Seen, as in you were there in person, or seen, as in seen on the news?

As if the teacher shortage wasn't bad enough...

I am a teenager. My views of teachers may be a little lower, but some of my favorite teachers have been straight out of college. They may teach a little less than older teachers, but by no means should the minimum age be raised. 20-year-old teachers can be great.

Bad news tolbs...teaching age should be raised to 35...   https://6abc.com/philadelphia-teacher-arrested-mercy-career-and-technical-high-school-sexual-assault-kelly-drive/11553007/

Okay, real question.... How is it that a lot of these female teachers who get wrapped into this statutory rape thing are attractive women?

The trauma one experiences that leads one to become sexually attracted to teenagers doesn't care how attractive one is.

Perhaps when it is an attractive teacher it gets picked up more by news agencies?  I would have to assume that is more spread out than what is presented as news worthy?

That's what I'd suspect.

That's part of it, but also remember that a lot of these students are 17-18 and the relationship would otherwise be legal except for specific laws prohibiting teacher-student relationships.

Or that there's a cherry-picking of the photo to buttress the media's point; some have a staunch anti-public school bias. All it takes is a serious accusation (of any type) one student, and a teacher is potentially sunk (a good reason they join unions). And these things do happen with coaches, private-school teachers, and other people who are perverts. This doesn't make the news quite as much, because the media wants to make a story out of it that fits a narrative.

I don't think the actual age of the teacher or perpetrator has much to do with it with why they'd do it in the first place.
