Kern County, CA: California SR 65 / Famoso-Woody Road intersection

A couple of stray pics from May 2022.

Heading east from Famoso (Famosa on 1950s Rand McNally maps - typo?) on Famoso-Woody Road, I came across these signs at the intersection with SR 65, Porterville Hwy, which runs north-south at this area.  Each side lacked a little; SR 65 is the intersecting highway.

I've seen early documents from the DOH and CHPW refer to Famoso interchangeably with Famosa.  Apparently the railroad siding was originally known as Spottiwood and later Poso (after Poso Creek).
