Does anyone recall VDOTWannabe?

Does anyone remember a poster, perhaps it was here, maybe some other road related forum, using the handle of VDOTWannabe? 

He was from western Virginia and was a big fan of traffic signals.  He grew up and went to work for a signal contractor there and was tragically killed at a job site when his utility bucket was struck by a passing tractor trailer as he worked on an overhead signal (between 2000-2012).   I've searched the newsbank and newspapers.com archives and can't find any stories in the newspaper archives.   It may have been covered as a story on a local television news site, which means the story would have long disappeared.
