Looks like ODOT is cooking up plans to widen the last stretch of I-475 to six lanes near Perrysburg.

Improvements include:
- Redoing the I-475/US 23 interchange to include two flyovers (converting into a cloverstack)
- Eliminating the weave between the OH 25 and I-75 interchanges on SB I-475
- Eliminating the left-hand exit and entrance on NB I-75 at the I-475 interchange

Programmed for construction in 2032-2034

They should also eliminate the left-hand entrance to I-75 north so motorists coming off of I-475 wanting to access US 20/23 Fremont Pike don't have to weave.  This whole area is a big crossroads and not just a simple interstate split, when you factor in the nearby US 24 freeway to the west and that traffic wanting to bypass central Maumee and Perrysburg to get to various points along I-75.

They are, according to the proposal drawing shown.

Relocating the northbound I-75 lanes to put the existing left-hand exit and entrance ramps on the right-hand side, and replacing the ramp bridges at the realigned I-75 thru lanes, is pretty much identical to what was done a half-dozen or so years ago at the I-75/BL I-75 interchange just outside Pontiac, MI:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/MUuo8pCBjsDpJ2RSA

Good to see this project won't tear down any of the recent improvements to eliminate the weave/merge on northbound I-475 between I-75 and OH-25.

Didn't they have this temporarily implemented with 2-way traffic on the I-75 southbound pavement during the construction project a few years ago? I was disappointed that didn't become permanent then.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

If they did, it would have been only one lane in each direction with no shoulders.  There is no room under the current ramp bridges for anything wider.  https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZFWrKfDxat8xYNzi6

Here's the overall Cleveland plan (developed in the late 1950's) with subsections for each freeway corridor:

You're just like crosstown traffic
All you do is slow me down
And I got better things on the other side of town

The Loop is a very good series and perhaps a dedicated thread should be made for it but here's a recent video that highlighted some good projects:
