A project that is underway in Hershey, PA to eliminate the existing one block multiplex of US 422 and PA 743 and make Park Avenue and Cocoa Avenue one continuous street.    It entails realigning PA 743 to the south of US 422 so that PA 743 will drive straight across US 422 and not make turns as present.  The project also included replacing the railroad bridge across the Norfolk- Southern Railway and extending Park Boulevard eastward to connect with the new PA 743 alignment and building a pedestrian underpass under both PA 743 and US 422.

They have been working on this for almost a year, pain in the butt to deal with but will make for smoother traffic flow when finished.

Yeah, I always thought that one block concurrency was kind of pointless.  PA 743, through motorists  now won't have to zig zag anymore, but most importantly, the town has one less signal now and when completed, the S curve at Park Boulevard will be straightened as well.
