This is the longest thread title ever and it's okay because I can do whatever I want so hahahaha

Actually, thread titles have a character limit. I ran into it once.

FTFY. I do embrace roundabouts :)

As for Duke Basketball, I do know we've got some Duke alumni in the road geek community. Fair warning to them: prepare to be Rock Chalked :P

Counting myself, I know of two people on this forum who have degrees from Duke. Don't know if there are any others here.

Actually, Laettner came to Rupp Arena to play in a charity game a couple of years ago, and said the Kentucky fans were great sports and he enjoyed his visit.

That's good.  The interview I read (and now that I'm 40, "a few years ago" can be as long as ten years ago) said he wouldn't even stop at a rest area or gas station.

I think Alanland had a proposal related to this at some point.

I disliked one of my high school science teachers for various reasons, so since she required us to maintain a sheet showing our grades in her class, I maintained mine in binary. She did not appreciate it too much when she saw it.

Umm...isn't that what she was paid to do? I could maybe see this as an ongoing lesson for a math class, but science?

State roads I wish were county maintained

I for one am very happy about Florida's great turnback of 1977.  this is the main reason why so many old signs survive in Florida.

I had a couple of teachers that required this. They maintained their own gradebook, but you were required to keep your own grade sheet as well, so you could know what your current grade for the class was. One teacher that required the grade sheet also required it to serve as a quasi-table of contents for a binder containing all of the graded homework and all of our notes from class, in the order assigned. She would occasionally collect the notebooks and verify that everything was present and organized, and we would receive a grade on that.

I don't remember any of the math she failed to teach us, but boy do I remember her bureaucratic notebook horseshit.
