The county also ain't responsible for knowing the difference between it's and its.  I wouldn't be surprised if a lawyer argues this makes the county responsible should a loss or injury occur.

I just saw someone else's photo from British Columbia on BC 99 saying " Your Choice" when informing motorists of the two area border crossings to Bellingham, WA.

Your Choice on top.
Then BC 15 and BC 99 underneath side by side.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

There is a similar sign on the I-5 side of the border:

I chalk that up to this being San Benito County.  This is already one of the poorest counties in California.  I would imagine that county officials would prefer the mine derelict for 53 years would just go away.

Either the 3 in Clearview and the 0 in FHWA, or this is one of the most Buddha-awful fonts I've ever seen on a road sign:

This is odd.

Both Cleveland and Columbus are in Ohio, but only one has the state abbreviation with city name.    I think that's funny looking.

Honestly, the PA for Washington here is to prevent confusion with DC.

Columbus has long been thought of as an ambiguous placename outside of Ohio. An impression that is no longer deserved, if it ever was to begin with, IMO.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

Understand the logic of it, but looks peculiar next unstated Cleveland. 😅

Washington of course because our nation's capital is nearby and served indirectly by I-270.

The Monterey County and San Benito County line is marked via spray paint on the San Juan Grade (pre-1932 US 101).  The Monterey County has asphalt patching over the Portland cement:

And yet there is a San Benito County placard.  Thing is that it is facing the wrong way towards Monterey County:

San Benito County has put all sorts of signs about CCTV surveillance.  Apparently, these were placed due to illegal trash dumping.  I only spotted two cameras which were about fifteen feet from each other.

Same county that struggled with "it's" versus "its."  See Reply #10645.

They should have put commas after Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Just randomly discovered this on GSV the other day, RM 1964 has been decommissioned in Crockett County, TX and replaced with county road shields that look like this...
